Volunteer at the 2028 IIHF World Junior Championship
The 2028 IIHF World Junior Championship will be played in Tampere and Turku from 26 December 2027 to 5 January 2028. Volunteers will help create a welcoming, safe and smoothly run event for teams, officials, media representatives, partners and spectators from around the world.
Most volunteer assignments will take place between 21 December 2027 and 6 January 2028. Some roles may begin earlier or continue until the event has been dismantled. The exact dates and working hours depend on the role and venue.
Who can apply
We welcome applicants with different backgrounds, skills and levels of experience. Previous experience in sports events is useful in some roles but is not required for all assignments. What matters most is a reliable and positive attitude, willingness to work as part of a team and commitment to the agreed shifts and instructions.
Some assignments have specific requirements related to age, language skills, professional competence or a valid licence. These requirements are stated in the role descriptions.
